Wages of Sin Film Now Free
The
Wages of Sin: “Wages” is Now Free Worldwide
Apple
TV users can now see the film in it’s entirety for free on Youtube
Chicago,
IL. Monday, October 31, 2011 — Five years ago Apple launched “Apple
TV”, a set top module that would allow people to stream video from
their computer to their TV sets. While others pondered what it meant
Nathyn Masters jumped on the opportunity. He presented “Wages of
Sin” a no-budget action film to Apple fans. “Wages” became the
first indy film created specifically for Apple TV and iPod users
alike. But even though many bought it from other sites it never
officially got in the iTunes store. But now the whole movie is on
Youtube ready to be broadcast into your home for free via your Apple
TVs and piped directly into your living room or onto your iPods or
iPhone.
“It’s
been an uphill battle to get this thing out there,” says Masters,
“With so much content out there indy filmmaking isn’t what it
used to be, but at least there’s an audience now who loves the kind
of stuff I do.” This year Youtube has been experimenting with
"verified accounts", letting people go beyond the fifteen
minute limit with by using phone verification. This has allowed
Masters and others to show off their wares.
Currently
Masters is shooting his third movie, his first to be shot in HD, a
horror based action movie called “Epitaph: Bread and Salt”.
Centered around characters from an upcoming series of comics the film
is set to be the “issue zero” for the books. The Epitaph story
features world dominating cults, deadly vampires, neo-nephilim, a
clairvoyant zombie hooker, classic superheroes and a reluctant demon
hunter named Victor Locke, who will be played by Masters himself in
the film.
“Epitaph”
is being produced by “Motor Home Massacre” producer Christopher
Free and award winning indy filmmaker John H. Rogers III and is
currently in production in the Chicago Edgewater and Downtown areas.
To
back the “Epitaph” project Masters has also launched a massive
campaign on crowd funding site Indiegogo, seeking $300,000, one of
the largest fundraising campaigns ever for a project of this nature,
but Masters says, “The worst that can happen is I don’t get
anything. If I don’t put it out there, I know I won’t get
anything.” While he’s seeking many things, His major
post–production upgrades are largely Apple centered including a
Macbook Pro, Final Cut Pro X among other Apple software packages.
As
a double whammy, Masters is also writing the whole line of Epitaph
comics and is also drawing the “Epitaph: Abiding Liltih” series,
which he says the next Epitaph film will be based on. The first
issues are available from the Night Phoenix Press website at
www.nightphoenixpress.com.

Vampires, demons and Nephilim are all over the place. Demonic cults battle for world domination while the rest of the planet are simply pawns in their game. The Defenders of Eden have protected earth from demonic forces since the reign of King Solomon, but today evil's forces have outnumbered those of good. As the cults gain more power the demons do as well. But it was prophesied a man would be born to help turn back the tide, but is thirty-something Victor Locke that man? Let's hope so. Based on the independent comic book series "Epitaph", published by Night Phoenix Press, this movie would serve as the issue #0 for the series.

My New Comic "Abiding Lilith" is on Sale Now.
Hey everybody, we're back. And the movie is back on. This Friday we're planning to start shooting the remaining scenes of "Epitaph: Bread and Salt". But in the meantime, my new book "Abiding Lilith" is now available at the Night Phoenix Press comic shop. There is also a $25 "sketch" version of this book. You can send this book to me and I'll draw you a special cover.
We're also about to publish the first issue of "Epitaph: The Darksiders". These books will run congruent to the Abiding Lilith storyline. I'm actually writing all the books and writing and drawing Abiding Lilith". I also plan to write and draw the first issue of "Victor Locke: Demon Hunter" at some point this year, but Right now our efforts will be aimed at publishing the Epitaph books Night Phoenix our company's namesake.
Adonijah Washington a.k.a Night Phoenix, appears in the current issue of "Epitaph: Appearing Lilith" and will be making an appearance in full costume as he takes on a few vamps. But his first one shot issue should be coming out in the next few months, before his series. Essentially everything will spin off from the Epitaph books. Locke will be in the "Darksiders" series until his book starts and Night Phoenix in "Abiding Lilith" a long with Decoy, both heroes struggling to turn back the evil tide in the Night Phoenix Universe and let's not forget about Maven, our hot new heroine is on her way but she's under wraps for now.

Blackrayne is Back!
My first fiction novel Blackrayne is back on Amazon.com, but on top of that, I am in the process of making my first ePub based ebook. Blackrayne will be available to those will iPad, iPhones and other eBook readers that read the ePub format.
For those who don't know Blackrayne is about a psychologist named Jason Blackrayne who contracted HIV from a sex addict patient he slept with.
Desperate for a cure Jason's becomes a disciple of Dr. L. Robert Hauss, a former psychologist who claims he can heal any disease based on the "Transcendental Collision" the theory that all energies are one and can be readily manipulated once we've transcended the mental trappings of the mortal world to tap into these energies. Hauss merges the mental with the metaphysical which intrigue's Jason, but there is much danger that lurks in Haus's teaching.
Jason becomes one of Hauss' disciples, but what he doesn't know is one of his Haus's enemies wants to kill Hauss and is willing to take out all of the Hauss followers to do it. If you like modern/urban fantasy I believe you will like this book. And if you have a Kindle this would make a great edition to your reading list. The Kindle edition is only $2.99. And once all the kinks are worked out you will be able to buy the ePub version from the links over to the right.

I took a little break from shooting Epitaph for the
Christmas and New Years break, but we did shoot something. I actually helped JR2 Productions on a shoot called, "The Perfect Letter". It was shot on the Red Camera with DP Brandon Riley at the helm.
This film is a strange little diddy written by myself and John H. Rogers III. We shot this in one day after being snowed in at a hotel in Memphis. It was a lot of fun and Epitaph's Marissa Joy stars, as well as John Ross, reprising his role as Lucious from the old JR2 film "La Petite Morte" and myself. You'll have to see it to believe it. Brandon and the guys were incredible and the footage from the Red is absolutely awesome!
